Crispin Raymond

Crispin, together with Greg Richards, originated and defined the term ‘Creative Tourism’ in 2000 and have been collaborating on its development ever since.

Having migrated to New Zealand, Crispin launched Creative Tourism New Zealand in 2003. Today he has a wealth of practical experience of the challenges of developing Creative Tourism as a business and of how Creative Tourism can benefit the communities in which it is based, the creative individuals who share their knowledge and enthusiasms, and the visitors who participate in creative experiences.

Previously based in the UK, Crispin worked in the arts for 25 years, firstly as Chief Executive of the Theatre Royal in Bath and subsequently as the founder of a specialist management consultancy that helped arts and charitable organisations with policy, management, building and funding issues.

He lives in the Nelson-Tasman region at the top of New Zealand’s South Island
