Caroline Couret

Caroline Couret was born in France where she graduated with a degree in Management of Culture and carried out postgraduate studies in Cultural Policies, investigating the French Culture International Network. She collaborated with festival organizations including Festival International de Cinéma de Cannes and Festival de Théâtre d’Avignon, as well as various projects in Louisiana, Mexico and Morocco. Since 2001 she has worked at FUSIC (Fundació Societat i Cultura), a non-profit cultural foundation in Barcelona. She has been in charge of a wide range of projects like Barcelona Street Arts Festival and Orquestrades of Catalonia, all related to art and international networks. Since 2005 she is responsible for Barcelona Creative Tourism – a pioneering program whose objective is to foster creative tourism in Barcelona and Catalonia – www.barcelonacreativa.info. She spoke in conferences in Santa Fe, Paris, Zagreb, Istanbul, among others. She co-created and currently manages the Creative Tourism Network www.creativetourismnetwork.org, a project of FUSIC that gathers partners from Paris and Roma. She was a contributing author to “Creative tourism. A global conversation” and “Le tourisme participatif”, from french publication Revue Espaces. She speaks French, English, Spanish, Catalan, and Italian.
